Raja adil raja disembah, raja zalim raja disanggah

Like most people during my childhood, at a time when the black and white TV needed to be just 21-inch to be called a Giant TV, I watched a lot of P.Ramlee and Nordin Ahmad movies.
I lived in a kampung house in West Coast Road, Singapore, which got flooded during the monsoon season.

Apart from the many memorable jokes in P.Ramlee movies, for some Twilight-Zone reason, the words spoken by Nordin Ahmad in one movie got stuck in my mind until now.
Only minutes ago I googled to find out in what movie he spoke those words - the angry words were spoken by him as Laksamana Megat Sri Rama in the 1961 movie 'Sultan Mahmud Mangkat DiJulang'.

Megat ni marah sangat sebab isteri beliau yang sedang hamil dibunuh kerana memakan nangka diraja. (Sekarang orang curi bermillion khazanah rakyat pun sultan tak tahu).

Anyway, what Nordin Ahmad said in that movie that got stuck in my mind through the years:

"Raja adil raja disembah, raja zalim raja disanggah"

Which brings us to the 21st century and the silver state.
The royalty, like it or not, has been dragged willy-nilly into the confusing state of affairs.
Now, issues have been brought into the courts to be settled.
This is good, because in whatever way the Sultan of Perak had decided, he would have been dragged into the political controversy anyhow. If he had decided to bubar DUN then or today, there will be many angry voices also.

My fervent hope is that once the courts have decided, the losing party will accept the rulings - after reasonable appeals etc.
Otherwise, it will show the true colours of the losing side (whoever that might be): that they want to win at all costs, and not to follow the rule of law.

Or are we saying that the courts cannot decide? If so, why even bring these issues to the courts in the first place?????
I noticed that BOTH sides have brought issues linked to the takeover to the courts, so are we saying that once our side loses then we ignore the rulings?
Like that there will be no end, brother.

If everything is a stalemate, then Sultan Azlan Shah alone can decide.
Is that so? Or will his decision also be challenged in court later on?
And he has to bear in mind that whatever he does, he has this thing over his head:
"Raja adil raja disembah, raja zalim raja disanggah"

Soalannya:
Adil kepada siapa? Dan zalim kepada siapa?
Pening kepala saya, macam kena sambar petir....
