Nik Aziz thumbs up meeting with Lee Kuan Yew

It was the first meeting between two veteran politicians.
One 76, Malay, revered in Kelantan.
The other 86, Chinese, revered in Singapore.
They walked slowly towards each other in their meeting at the office of the Kelantan menteri besar on Sunday morning.
And they posed for the cameras.
They then chatted about their healths and about state matters for an hour.
Reporters and cameramen kena keluar.
Parts of the discussions were in Malay.
I call you 'Encik Lee'. You call me 'Nik Aziz'.
PAS and PAP. Kelantan and Singapore.
History was made. I was there.
Fuyoh.
Or as Singaporeans would say 'Don't play play".

Encik Lee later met Husam Musa, former VP, failed Dy Prez candidate and Kelantan's state exco for finance and economic planning. kickdefella has a nice picture of the meeting by the french window, with the Kota Baru horizon laid out before them.
Actually though, Tok Guru and Husam were not the first PAS chiefs to have met MM.
Prez Hadi Awang and his loyal deputy Nasarudin Mat Isa had met with the former Singapore PM days earlier in KL.

The Singapore chief later went for a drive in a car round Kota Baru to see for himself what the heart of PASland is about - PAS has been in power in Kelantan since 1990 = 19 long years.
Nik Aziz told reporters earlier that MM had told him that "Kota Baru is clean and its people live in harmony".
